GETTING TO KNOW Mukesh Sharma

Curator's Note

" What is striking about Mukesh Sharma’s work is his ability to bring to painting the disciplines of a printmaker and a collage artist. He intermingles these three disciplines brining a unique flavor to his artwork. His bold colours are inspired by his hometown Rajasthan which also inspires his subject matter— of small town India reacting to globalization."

New Delhi-based contemporary artist Mukesh Sharma born in Rajasthan, works at the points of intersection between painting, printmaking and installation, often taking as his subject matter the dynamics of the human/environment relationship
